Catastrophe Modelling Analyst
Our ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
Must have
- University degree (or higher) in a quantitative discipline, preferably actuarial sciences, engineering, geophysics, physics, etc.
- English knowledge, as she/he needs to be comfortable in communicating within a multinational environment
- Programming experience, especially for query (e.g. SQL, SAS) and data processing (e.g. R, Python, VBA or other programming languages)
- Knowledge of MS Office applications
Nice to have
- Phd, ideally in subjects linked to meteorology and climate change or otherwise in natural catastrophes
- Experience in the field, ideally with a leading insurer, reinsurer, broker or catastrophe modelling company and having used and evaluated catastrophe models and possibly followed cat exposure management processes
- Catastrophe modelling experience in using one or more of the main vendor model platforms (e.g. RMS, AIR, Corelogic, etc.)
- Experience in climate change related topics from a regulatory perspective (e.g. Taxonomy, etc.)
