Catastrophe Modelling Analyst

Our ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

Must have

• University degree (or higher) in a quantitative discipline, preferably actuarial sciences, engineering, geophysics, physics, etc.
• English knowledge, as she/he needs to be comfortable in communicating within a multinational environment
• Programming experience, especially for query (e.g. SQL, SAS) and data processing (e.g. R, Python, VBA or other programming languages)
• Knowledge of MS Office applications

Nice to have

• Phd, ideally in subjects linked to meteorology and climate change or otherwise in natural catastrophes
• Experience in the field, ideally with a leading insurer, reinsurer, broker or catastrophe modelling company and having used and evaluated catastrophe models and possibly followed cat exposure management processes
• Catastrophe modelling experience in using one or more of the main vendor model platforms (e.g. RMS, AIR, Corelogic, etc.)
• Experience in climate change related topics from a regulatory perspective (e.g. Taxonomy, etc.)
