Data Engineer

Requirements:

Must have:

• 3+ years proven experience developing solutions in the data engineering field utilizing programming languages, modules, and techniques such as:

  • • Python (PySpark, Pandas, etc...)

    • Spark (Python or Scala)

    • AWS services (EMR, Lambda, DynamoDB, etc...)

    • SQL / NoSQL (Data modelling, clustering, partitioning and sharding, etc...)

    • Data Warehouse (e.g., Redshift, Snowflake, etc...)

    • Other storage services / Cache (e.g., Redis)

    • Notebooks (e.g., Jupyter)

• Good understanding of the factors influencing reliability, quality and performance on distributed systems

• Familiarity and hands-on experience implementing solutions for  production services

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Engineering

• Strong learning agility and problem-solving skills

• Customer obsessed

Nice to have:

• Master Degree in Engineering or Computer Science

• Proven experience to develop analytics engines and related technologies (Spark, Hive, etc…)

• Hands-on experience on BI Tools (QuickSight, PowerBI, Tableau, etc…)

• Proven experience in machine learning model development using libraries such as: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, etc…

• Strong ability to work as part of a team, demonstrate initiative, solve problems independently and supervise others

• Natural technical leadership attitude

• Creativity, ability to challenge status quo and to support the challenge with logical rationale
