IT Application Lead

GOSP - Generali Operations Service Platform is a joint-venture between Generali and Accenture and provides IT and Procurement services to Generali Group companies. Our purpose is to accelerate the Group's innovation and digitization strategy through the Cloud and shared platforms. Based in Italy it has 5 branches across Europe and employs about 1.000 people.
The candidate will be part of the team Program NEXT. The IT Application Lead is responsible for providing support for new implementations and ongoing maintenance for application assets, interacting both technical and functional teams to ensure tasks are being delivered as planned, acting as a key contributor for go-live and ongoing support and assist in the planning for strategic initiatives and global operations. The IT Application Lead works with business to understand the functional processes and translate that understanding into business and technical requirements, assessing solution options, formulating plans and working with the business on application changes.
Main tasks:
- Monitor and ensure the achievement of the core solution milestones, set the guidelines on resources and budget management, steer interaction with local stakeholders, escalate key decisions and main risks to governance bodies
- Assure the compliance with the internal applicable policies
- Maintain, Monitor and Support all systems and applications
- Serve as IT solution consultant to business stakeholders and take the lead in mapping relevant technologies and IT services to support business plan execution
- Ensure that solution implementation Program projects are planned and executed in line with business strategy and established global IT standards and best practices
- Vendor governance of Cloud Infrastructure activities
Hard Skills:
- Knowledge of IFRS principles (IFRS17 and IFRS9) and Background Actuarial Non-Life
- Knowledge of Software Lifecycle, Lean Project Management, Agile and Waterfall, ITIL
- Knowledge of SQL database language, programming languages and relational databases
- English Professional level, other languages advantage (Italian, German, French)
- Knowledge of Cloud to control and direct the cloud services and resources from CSP and the processes and systems for doing so
