Storage & Backup L2 Project Support

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science or engineer

• At least 3 years of experience in  main provider services /enterprise environment in storage and Backup area.( 5 year experience if degree not available)  

• Fluent English (at least CEFR B2, written/spoken).

• At least 1 Certification in the Storage or Backup or Project management  

Skills:

STORAGE SAN DISK

Perimeter : Multivendor Storage environment based on DELL (Power VMAX ,SRDF),IBM DS8900, SVC, V7000, FS9000, A9000, PPRC, Metro Mirror and Global Mirror, TPC and CSM),HUAWEI (Dorado18K)

• Change and upgrade coordination, Project participation as team leader and  solution architect . Support the technical coordination of the team, during projects execution (e.g estimation , planning constrain definition , clarification and validation or document preparation)

• Reporting and analytical capability to structure raw data and trend and create managerial overview or incident historical analysis deep dive   using SQL query , database view or pivot

• Basic Administration  capability on all the equipment mentioned in the perimeter (management of pool, volumes, volume group, host, masking view, cluster,  replication relation, consistency group, snapshot and FlashCopy, SRDF/MetroMirror/ GlobalMirror, configuration, DR test activities ,DR activities, Golden copy procedure, Trace, patch management, upgrade, monitoring security and backup configuration)

• Problem solving and performance analysis on all the equipment mentioned in the perimeter, multi-platform and multi-technology correlation, Network and Fibre Channel performance and congestion analysis

PLATFORM

Perimeter: Platform and advanced operating system skills ( AIX , Linux, Vmware,Windows , GPFS, LVM , ASM , OVM )

• Platform Advanced administration skills (LVM advanced activities like LV creation, VG creation, LVM mirroring, , GPFS management , Filesystem management, GPFS mirroring, tiebreaker etc , Microsoft cluster, windows volume manager, ASM operation, CIFS operation on windows server, NFS protocol operation and problem solving on Linux/AIX system, Trace analysis capability,  VMware activities, SAN boot for all platform, HBA firmware upgrade, ODM configuration, Networking administration and management

STORAGE DISK NAS

Perimeter: NETAPP (FAS/AFF family , ontap OS, ontap select, metrocluter, snapvault,Fabric pool, Workflow automation, OCUM, snapdrive, snapmirror and vault )

• Change and upgrade coordination, Project participation as team leader and  solution architect . Support the technical coordination of the team, during projects execution (e.g estimation , planning constrain definition , clarification and validation or document preparation)

SAN SWITCH

Perimeter : , SAN director Brocade + SAN NAV SW and CISCO MDS , Multiprotocol Router (CISCO) 

• Change and upgrade coordination, Project participation as team leader and  solution architect . Support the technical coordination of the team, during projects execution (e.g estimation , planning constrain definition , clarification and validation or document preparation)

• Basic administration capability on all the equipment mentioned in the perimeter ( ports management, ISL management , Logical switch , zoning , alias , zoneset management, monitoring , security and backup configuration)

• Problem solving and performance analysis on all the equipment mentioned in the perimeter, multi-platform and multi-technology correlation, Network and Fibre Channel performance and congestion analysis

• Reporting and analytical capability to structure raw data and trend and create managerial overview or incident historical analysis deep dive   using SQL query , database view or pivot

BACKUP

Perimeter : DELL (Data Domain, Air gap ), IBM (TS4500) , IBM Spectrum protect (AIX and Windows backup server)  , Commvault ( Via Java or Command center, media agent and  Hyperscale solution)

• Change and upgrade coordination, Project participation as team leader and  solution architect . Support the technical coordination of the team, during projects execution (e.g estimation , planning constrain definition , clarification and validation or document preparation)

• Reporting and analytical capability to structure raw data and trend and create managerial overview or incident historical analysis deep dive   using SQL query , database view or pivot

• Problem solving and performance analysis on all the equipment mentioned in the perimeter, multi-platform and multi-technology correlation, Network and Fibre Channel performance and congestion analysis

• Basic  administration  capability on all the equipment mentioned in the perimeter( AIX and Windows TSM servers ,Commvault server and media agent , TDP/agent  for SQL, SAP,SAphana  Oracle,Exchange ,Domino,DB2 , EMC DDbost, ,Commvault and all the agent related ,NDMP backup - Audit compliance check and morning check. HW problem investigation and resolution , DR test activities ,DR activities, Golden copy procedure, HA configuration EXStore cluster  management , site failover  , Trace, patch management, upgrade, monitoring security and backup configuration,)

• Basic administration  capability on Cloud  AWS and Azure .

DATA ANALITIC  

• Database management in SQL  , including view creation and Query . Sql statement

• Graphical and pivot management of data

• Power point presentation of complex concept and Scenario

• Microsoft Office suite usage (Word, PowerPoint, Excel,Access, Visio)

SOFT SKILL

• Team Working – capability to work in heterogeneous and multicultural team , with capability of leadership and inspire the team member

• Communication Skills : the engineer could be interface with clients serving as consultants. So it is important that they have solid verbal and written communication abilities to relate with people, provide technical explanation adapting the approach to the counterpart .Reports, and generate implementation documentation with excellence quality .

• Planning and programming  his own activity , and the other team member activity respecting the schedule deadline , managing the time in a proper manner and the priority of the task .
