Catastrophe Modelling Analyst
The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
Must have
- University degree (BA, BSc or higher) in a quantitative discipline, preferably geophysics, engineering, actuarial sciences, data sciences, etc.;
- Programming experience, especially for query(e.g. SQL, SAS) and data processing (e.g. R or other programming languages)
- Knowledge of MS Office applications and VBA
- Italian and English working proficiency, as she/he needs to be comfortable with writing reports, memos and presentations in Italian and/or English, and in communicating within a multinational environment and to an international audience.
Nice to have
- Phd, ideally in subjects linked to meteorology and climate change or otherwise in natural catastrophes
- Experience in the field, ideally with a leading insurer, reinsurer, broker or catastrophe modelling company and having used and evaluated catastrophe models and possibly followed cat exposure management processes
- Catastrophe modelling experience in using one or more of the main vendor modelling platforms (e.g. RMS RiskLink ® or Risk Intelligence Platform ®, AIR Touchstone ®, Corelogic RQE ®, Aon IF Elements ®, JBA ® maps, etc.)
